So AI is blowing up everywhere. ChatGPT, Midjourney, Stable Diffusion... it can be a lot to get your head around. I figured that I can either tremble in fear wondering when AI will completely replace me... or I can jump on this train and figure out which AI tools will aid me to become quicker and better in my work.
The image generators are incredible. I can draw well enough to produce decent artwork, but I'm really not the most naturally skilled illustrator... and it seems now I don't even need to be. I've already started to use AI to help me with some illustrative work. Prompt engineering is honestly a real skill. I'm finding it easier to draw certain things myself and then use AI for bits and pieces. For example, I find drawing hands tricky, so I recently asked AI to provide me with "The palm of a hand, hanging down, line art" - and this is what it produced:
I didn't use any of them.
I've been following Adobe closely to see how AI will integrate into programs like Aftereffects specifically. Firefly was released recently and it looks kind of amazing. I've requested access to the beta version. It's a whole new world.
